I recommend Wordpress because it’s easy to work with once you are up to speed and it is by far the best combination of search engine friendliness with the least maintenance. I will build sites in html if you prefer, but generally speaking it will cost more.
I build the themes using a software program and you get to determine as many of the variables as you like, within the limits of the software. You can pick the colors you want, the background, the width of the blog, the number of columns, the menu style, the font size and styles, etc. And you can send me any photo files or graphics you have that you’d like incorporated.
If you don’t have specific design elements in mind, I will create a design for you that I believe fits your description of what you are after.
